Study of the Ottawa River Watershed, Ratishontsanonhstats Kanesatake Environment
This community collaboration project in Kanesatake aimed to understand the community’s historical and current perspectives on the health of the Ottawa River watershed. Community members expressed that their concerns about watershed health were finally being acknowledged, contributing to improved management of this vital watershed, which holds significant importance in their traditions. This study was a key precursor to the environmental contaminants project.
